A Little About Us
Ever wonder what it's like to swap computer screens for green pastures, fresh air, and experiencing the wonders of nature?
Greetings from Malcolm and Elizabeth Gravette, retired IT specialists turned homestead enthusiasts. Our journey from IT to homesteading wasn't overnight. Upon retirement, we relocated to the River Valley area of Arkansas (close to NWA) to be close to family.
We settled on a house with 20 acres. The house needed a lot of work, but we saw some potential and thought this might be the ideal sanctuary that we had been hoping to find. We spent a few years just improving the house and existing property by adding fencing and necessary outbuildings. Then we began to introduce some animals to our homestead, eventually settling on raising Katahdin sheep.
Please visit our blog for more information related to our homestead journey.
Now we can focus more on our crafts of woodworking and quilting. We have also entered the eCommerce world by opening our Simple Living Homestead Store and are in the process of adding products to it.
At Simple Living Homestead Store, we are dedicated to making a difference, since we believe that the choices we make every day can change the world, with a commitment to sustainability. We plan to offer products with these characteristics: recyclable; handcrafted using sustainably harvested/grown materials; made in the USA; and known for durability.
We invite you to sign up for our newsletter, and/or visit our blog for more information.
